Montbello Manor Senior Steppers!

Walk Description: Together with GirlTrek, Montbello 20/20 (RNO) and Northeast Transportation Connections, we’re hosting a weekly gentle walk from 10:30 am to 11:30 am with our one-of-a-kind senior living community at Volunteers of America’s Montbello Manor. This is going to be a fun and dynamite opportunity to walk and chat with seniors in the Montbello community. Our purpose for these walks is to bring hope, health and community engagement into the lives of our seniors.

Walking Movement Leader: Pam Jiner is a Walk2Connect Walking Movement Leader, resident leader in Denver’s Montbello community and the 2017 Organizer of the Year with GirlTrek. If you need to call me you can reach me on my cell (720.620.5735). I hope to see you there!

Meeting Location & Nearby Transit: We will meet at the Pavilion located in front of the Montbello Manor @ 4355 Carson Street. There is ample parking in the lot or on Carson Street. Dress weather appropriate. We will provide water and snacks for each walk. You can go through either side entrance to get to the courtyard.

Trip Notes:

-Bring seasonal gear for the weather and cameras for sharing photos! Use @Walk2Connect, @GirlTrek, @NETransportation and #Lifeat3MPH to share on social media.

-Kids OK if accompanied by adult.

-Restrooms are available at the Manor.

-Cancellation Policy: If in doubt about weather, call Pam below. If the weather is too cold, icy or snowy we will not be walking (for safety reasons).

Welcome Waivers: If you have not completed a Walk2Connect Welcome Waiver this year please fill out the online Welcome Waiver or download, print, sign, and bring the waiver with you to the walk. You only need to complete one Welcome Waiver per year.
